E.L.F. brushes and 50% OFF Studio Line

So, let me start off by saying that I like make-up products BUT I hate to spend ridiculous amounts of money on brushes. The only brushes I am willing to drop money on are the Sigma line brushes because most of them have reasonable prices but I refuse to drop $30 dollars on a M.A.C. brush, for now at least.

Anyway, a couple years ago I had seen the E.L.F. original line at Target and as a beginner I thought I would give their brushes a try since they were extra cheap ($1 each)... well, needless to say THEY SUCKED! That was the last time I dropped money on any of their products, or so I thought...

I have a confession; I'm a fan of watching make-up tutorials on YouTube. Last month, as I was watching tutorials on how to do a smokey eye I noticed that the girl in the video kept saying that she was using E.L.F. brushes to apply the highlight color under her brow and to apply her foundation, powder and blush but I saw that the color of the brushes were black, which is NOT the color of the $1 brushes that I had bought at Target. So I went on the E.L.F. website to see which brushes she was talking about and I saw that E.L.F. also carried a Studio line, which has better quality products than the original ones. These are $3 dollars versus the original ones that are $1.

Let me tell you, that two dollar difference it TOTALLY WORTH IT! I don't recommend anyone to try out their original line because I think it's a total hit or miss depending on the person but I can definitely say that it's worth a try with their Studio brand.  I bought four brushes to start with, which include the complexion brush, the angled foundation brush, the blush brush and the stipple brush. I love three out the four, the only one I wouldn't buy again is the angled foundation brush, not because it's not good quality but I just found it pointless since I apply my foundation with the complexion brush anyway.

Here are the ones I bought:

The complexion brush is the one on the left and the angled foundation brush is to the right.

I really, really like the complexion brush. It's fluffy and extremely soft. I use this one to apply my setting powder and I love how it applies it evenly all over.

The angled foundation brush is like... whatever. The quality is good and all but I feel like it's too small and since it's synthetic it leaves streaks on my face, so I just use this one to apply BB cream when I don't feel like putting make-up on.

The blush brush is on the left and the stipple brush is on the right.

The blush brush does its job well. However, I just use this one to apply bronzer and to contour. The reason I do that instead of the blush is because this brush, like the angled foundation brush, is smaller than I would like it to be, it's just personal preference. But it does a great job apply the bronzer since it's small and precise.
The stipple brush is one of my favorites. I use this one to apply my foundation on and to even out my concealer. This brush isn't as puffy as some other stipple brushes but it's really soft and I like that it's not so compressed like others. All brushes are also really easy to clean and they dry quickly.

All four brushes were $3 plus tax. I ordered them online because I thought they didn't have them at Target BUT they do!!!! So you save the $5+ that I paid for shipping and handling on their site. I used a 50% OFF coupon code, enter ECD2 at checkout, that applies to any Studio Brand products. I highly recommend you give them a try! After all, they're wayyyy cheaper than most brushes and worth a try!

Goodnight! XOXO
